PRISM SPECIALTIES (Prism) is a disaster restoration company specializing in the restoration of both consumer and commercial electronics, fine art, & textiles. We are currently seeking an entry level, reliable, and detail-oriented Laundry Care Attendant to join our company. The role is initially part-time with the potential to become full time. No experience required, candidate will be trained in all aspects of the job.
Position Summary: As an Laundry Care Attendant, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, cleaning, and delivering laundry & soft goods affected by various damages (fire, water, etc.) to ensure they are returned to their pre-loss condition. We will provide on the job training, no prior experience needed. However, experience working in a laundry environment sorting, washing, and pressing is preferred. Must have a positive, cheerful attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional service and quality to the customer and their textiles.
Starting Pay: $15/hr - $19/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry and fold laundry
- Aptitude to learn systems and processes
- Knowledge of fabrics, tools, equipment, and safety practices preferred
- Responsible for determining the cleanability of items
- Know how equipment is operated and follow manufacturer instructions for maintenance
- Must be able to read cleaning labels and determine cleaning method for various fabrics
- Photograph affected area as well as damaged textiles/soft goods
- Complete electronic paperwork for claims using an iPad/iPhone
- Ability to work overtime, if needed
- Willingness to support other business functions as the brand and business grow (do laundry to support the textile business, assist on pickup and deliveries for art business, and assist owners in administrative duties as requested).
- Knowledge of stain treatment to remove stains.
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Knowledge of fabrics.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Ability to bend and kneel.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently.
Job Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
